Academic Leadership

Dr. Gupta serves as Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at Loma Linda University, where he also directs the residency training program and holds the Reginald R. Sherrill Endowed Chair in Plastic Surgery. His clinical practice spans aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, alongside a longstanding academic focus on reconstructive surgery, wound healing, and hand and microsurgery.

Whether the referral concerns aesthetic consultation, complex wound care, or a hand or reconstructive question, Dr. Gupta's office prioritizes prompt scheduling and clear communication back to the referring provider. Records and imaging can be sent ahead of a patient's first visit to streamline evaluation.

Dr. Gupta maintains an active academic research program and serves on editorial and review boards for peer-reviewed surgical journals, with current research interests spanning regenerative wound reconstruction, facial fat grafting, and the emerging role of data-driven tools in surgical care.
